Distractible child that she is, Baby is on a nursing strike and sleeping strike today. Lucky for her (but not for me) that the men digging up the footpath opposite our house, only work during business hours.
Just wait till they start work on the footpath right in front of the house.

On things that put one off lunch - roadworks and menstrual euphemisms :-). Is it general beautification or did they found out you have a baby?
Maybe it's time to get those headphones they sell to drown out noise on airplanes-- but, do they make baby size ones?
that sucks. My parents had the city digging up sewer lines on their street for like 3 months and it just messes up everything. But, they did leave behind a ladder that my dad absconded with and put in the garage.
eb: well, the voice in my head says it's definitely because they found out we have a baby...
jon: We already have a white noice CD which we play throughout her sleeps, but it isn't working. I suppose it'd have to be pretty loud to drown out the road works.
juliabohemian: with this lot, I'd be lucky to scrounge a chunk of old tar seal.
You have a voice inyour head? Cool, I have about 16......
onscreen: 16, eh? you really are sleep-deprived.
