So, how many of you are there?

The boy came up with another interesting link.

This one invites you to enter your first and last names (there is nowhere for your middle name), and then tells you how many people in the US have your name.

The Little Madam shares her name with absolutely zero people in the US, whilst I have four name-alikes.

I'm not sure how useful this is to anyone though.

There are 25 of me. And one of me happens to be a 'famous' author!

There are 588 of me - but with a surname like Smith, I was hardly expecting to be unique!

Well I suppose one advantage of having a common name is that you always have the option of taking over a luckier person's life!

That is really interesting. There are 2 of me in the US, 0 of my hubby, 2 of Little Miss 9 and 0 of Little Miss 8.

There are 2 of me with my married name which I find intriguing. I have googled my married name before and found that there are lots more of the same name in Ireland, which makes sense. I wonder if the American ones are Irish-American...

And there are zero with my maiden name which doesn't surprise me at all.

nyx: nice to be unique (or unique-ish), eh?

ms. mac: this makes me wonder what your maiden name is...

It's a very unusual spelling of a name you've probably heard if you've ever seen old UK comedies.

It's not Farquahar or Bucket or something is it? :-)
