Winnie the Pooh and Tigger

I finished off the Tigger painting this morning. Here it is...

And the Winnie the Pooh painting looks like this...

Winnie originated as a colouring-in outline drawing printed off the Internet, and Tigger was a colour cartoon which I printed off in black and white (also off the Internet). So I can't really claim an awful lot of creative input. It was fun to do though.

The nursery still looks really boring, because I'm waiting for the boy to rearrange the furniture and put up the paintings and other wall decorations. When it's done (and if by then I'm not in the middle of giving birth) I'll post up a picture of the room.

I really must learn to decrease my meal portions. Every time I make myself too full I end up feeling as though the baby wants to burst out of my abdomen like an Alien creature, and no matter how I adjust my posture I can't seem to make enough room in my body for it.

Let me be the first to say what luverly paintings you've done! I don't have an artistic bone in my body, so I always admire those who are able to create (I don't count the needlework I do as creative because I'm always following someone else's "recipe" so to speak).

My friend got a small Winnie the Pooh tattoo above her boob a while back. Not sure how well that will translate with age, though I'm not sure mine will either ;) Oh well. The Tigger one is my favorite of the two- are you going to put them them on the wall of the baby's room?

Tigger looks like he's having a good time. I like how you can transition so quickly from Winnie the Pooh to Alien. :)

Are you going to do Piglet too? (in my family I'm Piglet, the Editter is Tigger, and... oh hang on, maybe too much information).

Nice paintings!

I was first Desiree, I saw the real live Pooh painting!

Now, Violet, if only the boy read your blog, would that help get things done? The things you want him to do, that is...

Tigger (bounce, bounce)

desiree: that's a load of rubbish, Des - I've seen your bead jewellery.

jon: Above the boob is probably better than below the boob...if she wants it to be visible when she gets older! They're both going on the wall - that's why I did 'em!

eb: both are acrylic on canvas, and no I didn't paint the background first - I blocked in everything all at once, then layered more paint as I decided was necessary.

Glomgold: Tigger is bouncy and Winnie is just chillin' - and the Alien is trying hardest to hatch just when I'm trying to sleep.

flying kiwi: I was planning to stop at these two, though if the mood strikes me (and I can find a nice picture to copy) then I do have one more spare canvas.

Editter: funny you should say that, because when the boy came home last night he specifically said he would get onto the nursery thing tonight (Friday). It does make me wonder...

Thanks for the kind words - I forgot about that (it's been a while!).

If you have a spare canvas then you must (IMHO) do an Eeyore to complete the set -

Brilliant Violet - don't forget piglet. There's also Lumpy from the new movie who is a very cute heffalump.

Desiree and Kazzer: I'm probably going to run out of wall space if I do all those extra paintings!
