Punk clothes for babies

The boy is showing signs for true cluckiness at last - he has sent me a link to a site which specialises in baby gear with a punk/goth/metal theme. The Cradle Rocks based in Seattle (and you thought Seattle was boring, Jon?), so I'm surprised there wasn't anything even remotely grungy.

I've never been into punk, goth or metal; I was more into the jangly guitars of the Flying Nun label (e.g. The Chills, Frally). But the boy has often mentioned his spell in a punk rock band and his Goth youth, so I had to at least have a squizz at what's on offer.

I have to say that I found the G is for Goth raglan long-sleeve t-shirt very cute, the Punk Rock pants adorable and the Tattoo Print lounge shirt really quite appealing.

Cute clothes, its one of the funnest parts of being a parent, you get to dress the little people anyway you want until they start exerting their decision making capabilities.

Checked our your paintings as well, nice style.

I would dress my kids in disco clothes just to mess with them...

But did you see the prices!!! I thought the Bling Bling bib was funny but hell would freeze over before I'd pay over $20 US plus postage for a bib.

Very cute but I will now have to hide that link from my ex-punk hubby as he will start ordering clothes from there for our two munchkins and I just don't think I could stand having to get a job to support the expense.
Also, your post implies I was in a jangly guitar band on the flying Nun label. Huh? At least, that's the way I read it. Don't change it, I like the idea of people thinking I'm a famous muso!

Rock on! That would be so cute to have a kid in a Sex Pistols tee shirt and plaid punk pants. You could dye the hair green, but DON'T complete the look with the saftey pin through the nose for the true punk look, or I'll call the authorities ^_~

Holy cow! What outrageous prices! Mind you I was strangely drawn to the tuxedo one piece...

Ilcoffee : Thanks! Glad you liked the paintings

Happyandblue2 : If I wanted to mess up the kid, I'd look for pirate shirts and other Eighties gear - but make him/her wear it just before he/she is old enough to have an opinion about clothes

Make Tea: you're going to in for a shock, then because I know your hubby has his heart set on the skull dinner ware

Frally: Actually, I meant that the Chills, whose song you like, are one of those jangly-guitar Flying Nun bands. But feel free to interpret it however you like :-)

Jon: how about tattoos then?

Desiree: you could get just one item for one of your nieces and nephews - that would be such a cool-auntie thing to do

Hokay!

[auntie hat on]

What item did you have in mind (snicker)?

Desiree - I wasn't thinking about me, y'know. I meant one of your actual nephews and nieces
