First words

The boy was the first to decide that when The Little Madam said "da da", she meant him. He was the one who told me that when she says "mumumumum", she means me and not the food in her mouth.

But yesterday I heard her say "shut" several times. At least I hope that's the word she's saying.

I'm sure it is shut. As in "Shut. I just banged my finger with a hammer"..

It's funky when they start trying to talk. We hear all sorts of things they probably aren't saying but it's still fun. Both of mine decided to start speaking by shouting "NO" all the time.

Using verbs already. So advanced. . .

happyanblue2: Whew. For a while there I was afraid she was saying "shit".

rainypete: I'm just waiting for "no" to become a large part of TLM's vocabulary. It's hard to work "yes" in more often than "no".

lumpyheadsmom: but I won't be signing her up to Baby Mensa unless she can use the word in a meaningful sentence.
