So, you might be wondering how my first day at my new job went.
The people are nice, the work is interesting and the location is close to several good cafes and clothes shops. It is pretty stuffy in the office, though, and it was hard to fight the urge to squirt water all over my head just to get cool.
Oh, yeah - I also had to tell my new boss some awkward news. I'm pregnant.

Congratulations!
What a bombshell eh?
As a non parent I will say that you are far braver than I.

And as a parent I'll say, Welcome to my world, sucker!!Congratulations! How far along are you? Tell me all the details so I can give you all kinds of unsolicited advice about the swelling and the hurting and the creaking. Oh, the creaking.
Congratulations. I am very happy for you and the boy too. And I'll (wo)manfully restrain myself on the unsolicited advice front but...if you want the contact details of my midwife who is very local to you and who we were really happy with- just say.
Congratulations!
Wowza!
Congrats!
Congrats, also, for being the first blog to make me gobsmacked. :-)
I hope the boss took it all well.
Wow- I read this post and it didn't register at first! Congrats!
woohoo! congratulations.
Wow, congratulations (on not squirting water on yourself and your pregnancy)!
Might be time to get over that fear of telling someone you need to pee though - as I understand it, pregnant bladders are distinctly un-camel-like.
OMG Congratulations!!! I'm way excited for you! And I agree with whoever said it before me - I just LOVE the way you tossed that in at the end of the post so casually... lol. Anyway, SOOO exciting! Congratulations again!
Wow!! Congratulations!! How exciting! I haven't taken the plunge yet, so have nothing constructive to offer, so I'll just add - HOORAY! :)

Flipping heck, you could have broken it to us gently - Tindalls
Tindalls: well, where's the fun in that?
Hiya Violetta, it's Alison. Congratulations, you dark horse! I read all the later blogs with all these references to your impending motherhood and it STILL didn't sink in. It can't be THAT scary - I have four at the moment. :)
Alison: no you don't - last time I saw you, you only have two kids. You can't have been THAT busy.
The joys of fostering - they come and go with the breeze. But I do have to say (and you can take this as a word of warning if you like)... anyone that willingly gives birth to more than two children is very very very very brave. (Was I emphatic enough???) :)
But congratulations to you both.
Thanks Alison, but there's no fear of me bearing multiple children. I'll be doing very well just to produce the one I think!
