The origins of "dooce"

Thanks bizgirl, for showing me the way to the answer to that difficult question "What is the origin of the word dooce?". Dooce was the nickname of the first known blogger to get fired for blogging about work. It was her nickname because she kept mistyping dude in her emails.

I did actually find those two websites much earlier on, but I didn't bother to look more closely at Dooce.com until you brought it up - and it had the answer after all. Glad to see that blogging isn't getting in the way of your job skills then.

There's no point though, in getting as precious about the English language as the French haves always been about theirs.
