All this knitting, sewing, walking in the woods and working for a not-for-profit has finally put me on the path towards eco-awareness. Better late then never eh? Plus the other stuff in my life.

Eclipsed
If I can't even remember to show up to see a lunar eclipse (all I had to do was go out my front door), then I guess I have no excuse for complaining about the lack of exciting things to blog about eh?

I like your label/category. What would you do if your head WASN'T cemented to your neck?
You didn't miss much really - at my place the problem was that the southerly picked up at the pivotal moment, pushed all the clouds together and covered up Luna just as she was to turn bloody - sigh! There's a fantastic set of images here: http://www.stuff.co.nz/0a16.html and http://www.nzherald.co.nz/multimedia/image.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10460282 Enjoy!
It is so hard to remember some things and when you do remember they are clowded over and there is no point. Being blind I miss seeing the stars like I use to. Every now and then I think I see the moon, but it could just be a lamp. I can't tell the difference.
angela: when I was around 10 and looked at stars, they used to look just like the many-pointed stars I saw in picture books. Then I got my first pair of spectacles, and was disappointed that they really only look like tiny pinpricks of light.r

desiree: yeah I saw those. It was when I saw them that I remembered what I'd missed the previous night!
