toothy pegs

The boy took TLM to her very first visit to the dental nurse today. Apparently she was a model patient - sat in the chair, opened her mouth wide and let the nurse tinker around in there with her instruments of torture.

And TLM was given a badge of clean health - a big sticker that says "I have healthy teeth".

No candy?
I always thought dentists were the most ironic people in the world giving out lollys after looking at children's teeth.

nope. I guess dental professional are a little more enlightened these days. I can remember accompanying my mum to her dental appointments. She didn't get a lolly from the dentist afterwards, but she used to buy herself chewy toffees. What foolishness!

I used to love going to the dentist cause the dental nurse would make us a little toy out of dental products (like a buzzy bee or a ghost etc). And it was cool to be able to collect the whole set. In hindsight I wonder where she learned how to make them....

Yeah I remember those! Maybe there's a class in it at dental nursing school.

Little Mo was awesome.

She only got skitish when the chair started moveing around. Nothing a good hand hold from Dad couldnt cure.
