bellevue

It used to be my daily fitness walk - nothing as strenuous as a full gym workout, but a cheap and easy-to-schedule substitute. Somehow I got out of the habit, and yesterday was the first time I'd ventured up into the hills since last summer. Today, the view was even more beautiful than yesterday.

Sometimes I forget just how pretty my home town is.

(And no, that is not my house. If it were, I'd either have a mortgage hefty enough to buy someone a couple of those jewel-like islands in the Marlborough Sounds, or sell it and live off the proceeds for the next ten years. Lovely building, eh?)

It was a beautiful day today. That does look pretty gorgeous. I've never been up there. We're off camping in the Wairarapa tomorrow so I'm hoping this beautiful clear stillness lasts

almost makes me feel slightly homesick. It's not often that NZers can scoff about the weather being better than in Aus.... but that certainly beats the pants of here at the moment!

mtnw: You should come over one weekend and walk the walk with us - it might get the boy off his bum too. Have fun camping!

donnasoowho:it may only be perfectly sunny once in a while, but when it is, it's fantastic :-) Apparently we are in for a sunnier than average summer.

Wow, that is a gorgeous view and what a nice walk it would make! Nice to make exercise less painful :)

Makes me homesick too. It's 2C here!

pbs: yes it's a lovely walk, though you have to do a bit of tourist-dodging along the way.

kazzer: over here it's fabulous!

I'd love to if you are serious. The next couple of weekends are quite packed already but definitely after that would be great. I shall be in contact

mtnw: sure thing - we are away between 27/12 and 2/1 but any weekend before and and after would be cool.
