New Buffy discussion blog

Coolest. I've been invited to join a Buffy discussion blog. I'm not sure though, that I'm up to contributing anything more profound than simple assertions of whether the Buffy/Spike affair ever stood a chance of becoming a meaningful relationship.

But I bet Make Tea not War might have a word or essay to say.

Hmmm...tempting, but unfortunately I don't really have much time at the moment. My existing blogs are being somewhat neglected as it is. Stupid employer, wanting me to work for a living.

BTW have you read Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell? If not & if you are interested I can lend it to you. It might be just the thing for these last few weeks before the event.

i wanna say that the buffy/spike thing was probably more likely than the buffy/angel thing, specially when spike got a soul. maybe spike will come back in a buffy movie.

on the other hand, i am very excited about the movie "serenity" based on firefly the series. although it seems that the story has be "re-told" and i don't know if the movie is going to have enough new stuff to keep me interested.

How cool!
But even with a soul Buffy kind of used Spike as a wedge when she didn't want to listen to the gang.
It's a really cool project though.

But how interesting could that blog be? Wouldn't it get old fast?

mtnw:I haven't read that book, though I've seen it in the shops. Sure, I wouldn't mind reading it. It might be a nice change from the hell-child book I'm reading at the moment.

no milk: I think Serenity is meant to reward existing fans as well as pull in new ones, so I'm sure there'll be enough new stuff in it for us. I'm gonna see it anyhow (even if I have to wait for it to come out on DVD).

nigel: I think the blog could be competing against slayage.tv, which has already been going since soon after the Buffy series started. I hope lots of people become members, since I'm not that good at writing essays when I don't have to.

Jon: the Slayage.tv site has lasted realy well, considering all 3 Whedon shows are no longer running. But like I told nigel, the new blog will have serious competition for attention from potential contributors. Me, I never get tired of Buffy talk!

Ooo! Jealous!

Sounds like a blog I'd read. Bring on the Buffy talk! :-)

I'm surprised you didn't get invited too, Casyn. Maybe they're targeting gmail users or something?
