I've figured out why I find the show Lost so frustrating. It's because even though stuff keeps happening, nothing is ever resolved. The writers should take a leaf out of the Joss Whedon Book of Good TV Writing, and build in story arcs that begin and end with each season.
I don't know if it's a woman's thing or what, but I think closure is good.
I don’t watch that show but I think closure is good for most anything. Especially when it comes to scary movies.
ReplyDeleteYou are SO right on this! I like the characters, I like the setting and most of the story. I think the hidden shelters on the island etc... are all really cool. BUT, I get the distinct impression that the writers don't actually plan ahead and are making it up as they go. It ends up being 10% plot development and 90% filler.

I have to say, LOST lost the plot early in season 2... gave up then and never really went back.

onscreen: I wasn't going to watch this season, but there's nothing else on TV at that time and I've ended up watching it anyway!
