I'm not bad - I'm just drawn that way
I thought it would be oh-so boring to simply take a photo of my big preggy self and post it to the blog. A drawing is so much more subtle (and, comfortingly, a lot less accurate). It took me six attempts to produce the version on the right - one in which my body parts aren't completely out of proportion. That's what happens when you stop drawing for more than a year, I guess.
So anyway, this is more or less what I look like at nearly 29 weeks. Actually, I'm a little bigger than I look in the drawing because I couldn't quite get the rotundity right.
Aren't you clever? I'd love to see more of your drawings.

shit! if that's what you really look like, you've gotten ginormous since I last saw you! which was only a few weeks ago, wasn't it? no, maybe 4? also your neck has elongated. possibly.

Editter: Well, I never said it was photo-perfect...but I am a lot bigger than when you last saw me which was probably about three months ago

Very cool. I wish I was a better artist. I'd settle for being able to draw some folds and shading though.
ReplyDeleteThanks - though I used to draw much better that this. Folds, and drapery in general, is quite to draw - especially if it's patterned.
